Preferential car loans in Russia extended until 2023

The federal government has extended the duration of concessional leasing and car loan programs until the end of 2023. This was announced by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at a meeting with Deputy Prime Ministers on Monday, writes TASS.

"The government is extending the duration of programs for concessional leasing and car loans until the end of 2023," the news agency quotes the chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers.

These programs cover family cars, light trucks, and tractors manufactured or assembled in Russia.

According to the government's website, in 2021, 8.87 billion rubles will be allocated for preferential car loans and 3.84 billion rubles for preferential leasing.

As a reminder, under the program of preferential car loans, the buyer is entitled to a discount on the advance payment in the amount of 10% of the cost of the car (for the Far East - 25%). The program applies to Russian-made cars worth up to 1.5 million rubles.
