Kamsky Automobile Plant has revealed its forecast for 2020. Despite the "coronavirus crisis" that hit all sectors of the economy, Chelny residents managed to increase their results.
According to the general director of the company Sergey Kogogin, KAMAZ sold 36.5 thousand trucks in total for 12 months of 2020, of which 32.2 thousand were sold in the domestic market. Compared to the result of 2019, sales of cars within the Russian Federation increased by 1.7 thousand units or 5.6%. Exports, however, fell by 14% - to 4.3 thousand trucks. In the coming year, KAMAZ expects total revenue of over 200 billion rubles.
Among the achievements of 2020, the company notes the start of sales of the flagship mainline tractor KAMAZ-54901 with a cab from a modern Mercedes-Benz Actros, an increase in the shipment of KAMAZ-6282 electric buses to Mosgortrans, as well as the development of the production of KAMAZ-5490 Neo gas trucks with two cryobanks.
